La Española started its activity in a ground floor in the centre of Alcoy, at 30, San Blas street. This central location was the result of an initial desire to make the product known and to place the brand in a high position of perceived value.
This snapshot, taken on 31 March 1944, shows the factory manager and some of the employees who, proud of their production, displayed it in front of the door of La Española’s premises, surprising the people passing by. A pioneering street marketing action, when marketing had not yet been invented.
